Welcome to youo Face Story podcast.
Speaker A:Your host, Yolanda Russo, European skincare expert and creator of Beauty on Command, wants to know what is your face story?
Speaker A:Is it breaking out?
Speaker A:Is it dry?
Speaker A:Is it sagging?
Speaker A:Yolanda offers practical, educational and encouraging content, saving you time and money when looking for ways to look younger naturally.
Speaker B:Your skin is almost like a dashboard.
Speaker B:It shows exactly what's happening underneath.
Speaker B:It shows when you are tired and you know how easy is to fix whatever it's showing on the skin by just listening to yourself, listening to your body rhythm and getting to sleep on time, getting a little bit more sleep because sleep is restorative.
Speaker B:Not only it helps the body to heal.
Speaker B:At night when you sleep, you repair yourself.
Speaker B:Your body repairs itself.
Speaker B:You release growth hormone to produce new cells to recycle the old.
Speaker B:I know there is so much information out there.
Speaker B:Anyone can get overwhelmed.
Speaker B:Everything seems to be viral.
Speaker B:All those gadgets.
Speaker B:My clients bring me to my facial room to show me what they got, all, all those creams and promises.
Speaker B:You really have to be cautious because anything that is overdone, your skin is overstretched.
Speaker B:Your skin is tugged enough or even over exfoliated with those latest gadgets that I hear about.
Speaker B:So in order for me to help you, I created a virtual room that and the program is called Face Rehab.
Speaker B:I'm gonna have online classes and I'm going to be teaching you from inside out how to take care of your skin, how to offset the daily routines, daily habits that might be contributing to, to what your face is showing.
Speaker B:Because your face shows everything that it's happening inside, not only on the outside.
Speaker B:So when we talk about the skin, the skin is not separate from your body.
Speaker B:People want you to think that the skin is something to fix, something to put the cream on and just allow it to do its work.
Speaker B:But unfortunately it doesn't work that way because your skin, when it's healthy from the inside, it will absorb the cream so much deeper, it will stimulate the collagen production.
Speaker B:In my virtual room.
Speaker B:Yes, today we had a first class 50 plus interested in everything that was said.
Speaker B:What is lymphatic drainage?
Speaker B:Where does it begin?
Speaker B:Why do you need to stimulate lymphatic drainage before you do anything to the skin, before you even put a cleanser on your skin?
Speaker B:And this is what we were talking about, the circulation in itself.
Speaker B:It's not only delivering nutrients to your cells, to your skin, but it also brings the oxygen, the much needed oxygen, give you that glow, the radiance that you need, the health of the Skin.
Speaker B:Otherwise, the face obviously writes a story of what's happening inside of you.
Speaker B:When you are dehydrated, it will show wrinkles.
Speaker B:When you stressed out, it will show dullness on the skin.
Speaker B:When you are having too much sugar or maybe too much wine.
Speaker B:Puffy eyes and lymphatic stagnation is the first thing we would look at.
Speaker B:So this is what we talked about and practiced during our first class.
Speaker B:You developing lifelong skills by learning from someone from the beginning to the end.
Speaker B:So there is a path and there is a home care routine that develops during this process.
Speaker B:So you're not guessing and you're not having million different products to choose from.
Speaker B:You just have the simple simplified routine that fits your schedule and it also matches your skin needs.
Speaker B:Just know one thing, your body and your mind is constantly speaking to you.
Speaker B:When you feel tired, you just need to rest, you need to lie down, or you need to take a quick brief walk, breathe out the stresses and come back to whatever you're doing and you will feel better.
Speaker B:But most of us are so busy, so occupied with the doing this, attending to that, helping this person and that person, leaving ourselves last.
Speaker B:And that's when we don't hear those signals, we don't hear those messages and we ignore that until we get tired, we get to look older than we are, our circulation suffers, our posture and all that.
Speaker B:And let's talk about stress and constant tension.
Speaker B:How is it affecting the skin?
Speaker B:Not only that it makes the skin look pale, dull and saggy, but at the same time, it doesn't allow for the lymph to flush it out.
Speaker B:So if you don't get enough blood nutrients to your skin, to the surface, you are definitely not going to look firm and t. And you know, you might be thinking right now, yes, but I'm already 60.
Speaker B:Yes, but I'm past 50 and I can't be looking firm and tight like I used to.
Speaker B:And that is not true.
Speaker B:You're led to believe that this is out of your control.
Speaker B:So if you stimulate your biology to be healthy, to be strong, to be vibrant, your skin has no choice but follow it.
Speaker B:It's up to you how you're going to age, because the chronological age we can't change, but we can change the biological age.
Speaker B:And there is science that proves that less than 20% of aging is due to hormones or due to genetics.
Speaker B:The other 80% is completely in your hands.
Speaker B:You can influence how you age, how you feel, how look.
Speaker B:And that is all up to you have to find the right guide, right Trainer for leading you in that direction.
Speaker B:And it doesn't have to take a lot of time.
Speaker B:Once you develop the skills to manage the stresses of life, manage the stagnation.
Speaker B:Because underneath of our skin, there is the whole network of muscles, blood vessels, tissues that are hungry for oxygen, for nutrients.
Speaker B:Where do the nutrients come from?
Speaker B:They rise to the surface from the food that we eat.
Speaker B:We are feeding our cells constantly and it shows on our body, on our skin, it shows in our hair, our nails.
Speaker B:That's how we build the collagen, we build the firm, toned skin because the skin is not separate, the face is not separate from our body, it's connected to it.
Speaker B:So that's why don't try to fix the wrinkles, try to see what had caused that wrinkle to appear.
Speaker B:When you're tired, when you're keeping your body slouched, you might be noticing that double chin is actually increasing every single day.
Speaker B:It's your posture.
Speaker B:So before you look at your double chin and what to do with it, how to fix it, you need to look at your posture.
Speaker B:And the head is six to ten pounds heavy.
Speaker B:So if the head is forward all day long, what happens to your neck?
Speaker B:The neck has to accommodate for that weight, that extra weight.
Speaker B:And your neck on the back is actually feeling sore.
Speaker B:And that's an indication that when you are working or when you're looking at your phone, you're restricting the flow of oxygen, you're restricting a flow of blood to your muscles and tension settles and it settles in the jawline, the neck, the shoulders, and.
Speaker B:And that is exactly why you look like you have a double chin overnight.
Speaker B:So if you don't have enough water circulating in your body, your lymph is not going to move, your blood circulation is stagnant, and of course you're going to feel really tired.
Speaker B:What is tired mean for the skin?
Speaker B:You're going to.
Speaker B:Your skin is going to sag.
Speaker B:During the class, we stimulated the skin enough to start being more flexible.
Speaker B:As quickly as the skin shows sagging, it can that quickly show firmness, bounciness, radiance.
Speaker B:You only need to know that you need to feed your body from inside out.
Speaker B:You need water, you need real nutrients, you need oxygen.
Speaker B:And keep your posture correctly.
Speaker B:To test yourself how you're doing, you can put a mirror, you can stand in front of the mirror and look at your phone.
Speaker B:If your head goes down to the phone, that's where you go wrong, because the phone should come to you.
Speaker B:Those are the things that would dramatically make a difference on your skin and those things unfortunately write the story on your face.
Speaker B:But that story is not a final story.
Speaker B:You can rewrite it and I'm here to help you.
Speaker B:Your skin is a reflection of your internal balance.
Speaker B:Remember that you can't buy enough of products to help the skin if you don't start from the inside.
Speaker B:If this resonated with you, I would love to hear from you.
Speaker B:You can visit my website, Beauty on Command and there is a little chat bubble.
Speaker B:You can send me your questions.
Speaker B:So if there is any question about your daily routine or how your skin is looking at the moment, let me know.
Speaker A:Thanks for listening and we'll see you in the next episode.
